Daniel Keliher is a mathematician specializing in number theory and arithmetic statistics. He is particularly interested in questions related to number field counting, elliptic curves, and Selmer groups. He likes studying the expected or “typical” behavior of number theoretic objects and finding unexpected deviations from those behaviors. Daniel completed his PhD in mathematics from Tufts University in 2022 and did his undergraduate work at Brown University. Before joining the Concourse Program at MIT in 2024, he was a limited term assistant professor at the University of Georgia.
