Denisse is a senior from New York City majoring in course 5-7. Aside from chemistry and biology, she has a great interest in the humanities, taking classes in the Global Language and Women’s and Gender Studies departments. Outside of class, Denisse serves the community through her work as the president of MIT SHINE for girls, a program dedicated to empowering young girls and non-binary students through math. She is also involved in Medlinks, MIT ITEC, and research at BIDMC. In her free time, Denisse enjoys walking around Boston, trying new food, or just staying in and watching a good movie on the weekends.
